Cha Muwon’s mother, Shin Sukhee, is the president of a subsidiary company under C corporation, as well as the sister-in-law of Chairman Cha of C Corporation.

In an attempt to gain more management authority, he secretly set in motion several plans that would set the stage for the power struggle with his cousin. Using his mother’s subsidiary corporation as a vessel, he discreetly utilized funds to increase his shares in the C corporation. At the same time, he roped in a number of shareholders and personnel over to his side. Also a part of the plan is the marriage to his cousin’s first love, Seo Nayun, who is the eldest daughter of ‘P Corporation’ President.

Jaejoong, Slept With Ji Sung In Underwear… Twice‏

Image

Kim Jaejoong will be completing his first acting in domestic drama with SBS TV ‘Protect The Boss’. He tried his first acting in movie ‘Heaven’s Postman’ (2009) and later gained results through Fuji TV ‘Hard To Say I Love You’.

Appearing as chaebol successors, ‘Cha Mu Won’ Kim Jaejoong and ‘Cha Ji Hyun’ Ji Sung (34) are first cousins. They were rivals due to their parents’ feud for control of management. There was power struggle with Ji Sung hyung but in reality, I became closer with hyung. I was not able to be closer fast, due to the awkward atmosphere but hyung initiated to become closer to me,” expressing his thanks.

The chance to become closer to Ji Sung was during the MT gathering with the actors and staffs. “Before the official filming begins, I went to the MT gathering organised by Ji Sung hyung. In the beginning, we were just the relationship of senior and junior, but after we drank alcohol, it became the situation where we slept in only our underwear.”

“Later on, I practiced the script with hyung, and hyung called, so I went over to his place. That day was also sleeping on hyung’s bed, just wearing underwear. During MT, we slept, saying ‘What’s there to (to worry) between guys?’, the second time we said, ‘It already happened the first time, what’s wrong for the second time,’ rather than becoming closer through pains, we seems to have become closer very fast.”

Kim Jaejoong said that it was a very happy filming site. He have to endure his laughter looking at Ji Sung and Park Young Kyu (58). “Teacher Park Yong Kyu is a cultivated gentleman-like off screen but upon acting, he is very funny. Ji Sung hyung is Teacher Park Yong Kyu’s son and his appearance is a punk, thus his usual lines used proverbs that is unlike a proverb or idiom, the words used for a slang that is unlike a slang would appear too, therefore it is very interesting.”

“Other than Ji Sung hyung’s passionate help, I can feel the care from the others too. Choi Kang Hee noona would leave me a message if she did not managed to say goodbye to me after filming. After the increment of meet-ups, the nervousness gradually decreased. The senior actors were very good to me.”

Kim Jaejoong is currently undergoing the challenge with his new realization. During his filming for ‘Heaven’s Postman’, he was in a status with a lot of thoughts for his singing career thus he has no desire in other fields. Therefore there was neither enough time for filming nor his degree of commitment.

“Nobody told me what a movie is. And it was not a continuous filming. I filmed for a few scenes and returned to being a singer, then returned to filming again. It was done is such a manner. I do not understand/know the continuing emotions of the scenes and filmed it just like that. It also seems that due to my issues, Han Hyo Joo who was filming with me, also lost the enthusiasm. I changed a lot during the drama filming in Japan. I learnt a lot of things and it was a chance for me to be committed as an actor.”

Kim Jaejoong said the message spread by ‘Protect the Boss’ was rather solemn. It not only portrays the sufferings of people seeking employment, it also portrays the troubles of an everyday employee. But there would be laughters and affections in it to share with the viewers, “I think it is such a drama.”

Jaejoong Says, “I’m Excited About My Acting Debut… I’ll Move Our Viewers And Make Them Laugh”

Image

Kim Jaejoong, who is receiving love from all over the world as a member of JYJ, will be debuting as an actor in the domestic drama industry. He will do so through SBS’ Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Protect the Boss’, which will begin airing on the 3rd of August.

Kim Jaejoong made his acting debut through the 2009 Korea-Japan collaboration movie ‘Postman to Heaven’ and then worked alongside popular Japanese stars Ueno Juri and Eita in Fuji TV’s ‘Sunao Ni Narenakute’, receiving praise for his stable acting skills.

And now, Kim Jaejong will be making his debut in the domestic drama industry with ‘Protect the Boss’. He will be playing the role of Cha Mu Won, the talented ‘prince of the financial world’, and will be acting as a chic ChaDoNam(Cold City Guy).

“For a long time, I carefully looked over the movie and drama propositions that I received. There were some productions that I couldn’t appear in because of the airing schedule. But I chose ‘Protect the Boss’ because it has a fun scenario and because I thought that the role of Cha Mu Won fits me well.“

‘Protect the Boss’ depicts the sweet yet scary ‘Taking control of an unruly conglomerate successor project’ between a newbie secretary with an unruly successor to a conglomerate as her boss. PD Sohn Jung Hyun of ‘Lovers in Paris’ and ‘Temptation of an Angel’ and screenwriter Kwon Gi Young of ‘Crazy from Love’ have gotten together to create the drama.

“The drama draws on the issue of job hunters who suffer from the unemployment crisis as well as the pains of being an employee so the message that the drama hopes to portray is a little heavy. But through its purpose, the drama will create a bond of sympathy with its viewers and I believe ‘Protect the Boss’ will present its viewers with touching moments and laughter at the same time.”

Image

When Kim Jaejoong, who hasn’t completed a lot of footage yet because he only recently began filming for the drama, started talking about the atmosphere on location, he found himself subconsciously smiling as he emphasized that, “It’s the best.”

“Because I don’t have that much experience as an actor, my seniors and veterans are liberal with their advice for me. Ji Sung hyung even invited me to his house once when we didn’t have any filming to do and helped me with my lines. Saying that actors have better chemistry if they get along with each other, he planned dinners for all of us to get together. Cha Hwa Yeon, who plays the role of my mother, calls me ‘my son’ whenever she can and takes care of me while Park Young Gyu takes care of me as well. Going on location to film makes me happy.”

The drama will begin airing after ‘City Hunter’, which is currently at the top of the ratings charts for Wednesday-Thursday dramas. Wouldn’t Kim Jaejoong, who is kicking off his drama debut, be worried about viewer ratings?

“I can’t worry about viewer ratings just yet. I’m sure our director and staff do though. I’m just going to focus on my acting for now. But I’m sure that once the drama begins airing, I’ll subconsciously start worrying a lot about the viewer ratings. When Yoochun’s ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’ began airing, I found him surfing the net a lot to look up ratings for his drama though he would rarely go online in the past. Watching him, I thought, ‘That will be me in the future.’ (laughter) I hope our drama does as well as City Hunter.”

Kim Jaejoong once received complaints from his fans because of a kiss scene with Han Hyo Joo in ‘Postman to Heaven’. In his new drama, he will be working alongside Choi Kang Hee and we wonder what it would be like if he filmed a kiss scene with someone who is older than him?

“The script hasn’t been completed yet so I don’t know yet if there will be a kiss scene. But if it’s in the script, I’ll have to do it. (laughter) People ask me for my opinion on dating older women because there’s quite an age difference between me and Choi Kang Hee, but I believe that age doesn’t matter when it comes to love.”

Though he has been Kim Jaejoong the singer till now, he asked that everyone forget what he was like on stage and see him as Kim Jaejoong, the rookie actor.

“I’m sure the image of me singing on stage has become deeply imbedded in the minds of our fans, but I would like it if everyone saw me as Kim Jaejoong, the rookie actor, in the drama. Even though my acting is still very lacking and may not be up to your expectations, please watch over me. I’ll show improvements every episode.”

JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong Appears In His First Domestic Drama “I Want To Work Hard And Be Loved For It”

Image

No words are needed to describe his singing and dancing. Add in a handsome face, fluent Japanese-speaking skills as well as a warm heart. The expression ‘multi-faceted handsome guy’ fits him perfectly.

Though he is a member of JYJ(Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun, Kim Junsu), a top class male group who have made their mark in the music industry, not a single trace of arrogance or vanity could be found within him. Kim Jaejoong would add his signature easy-going laugh to the honest answers he gave, even to the most blunt questions that the reporters had.

Kim Jaejoong tried out his first drama with FujiTV’s ‘Sunao Ni Narenakute’ in Japan. Recently confirmed to appear in the SBS drama ‘Protect the Boss’, he will soon be making his debut in the domestic drama industry. Regarding his comeback as an actor, Kim Jaejoong said, “I’m so nervous that I’m getting goosebumps,” but one could easily see an expression of feel-good thrill running through his face.

“Many tell me that I’m probably feeling really pressured about my first appearance in a Korean drama, but I’m feelings nervousness more than pressure, which has negative connotations. I don’t have the relaxed and experienced confidence that I have when I stand on stage as a singer. I believe I’m at a stage where I’m still very lacking in so many ways. But my heart is pounding at the prospect of trying something new.“

In this drama, he will work alongside Ji Sung, Choi Kang Hee and Wang Ji Hae as Cha Mu Won, the talented ‘prince of the financial world’. Kim Jaejoong describes his character, the cousin of Cha Ji Hun(Ji Sung), as a mysterious gentleman who has a hidden cold edge to him.

“Cha Mu Won is mysterious but also has a very childishly innocent side. You could say that he is an ambivalent character but he’s very different from me. I think that the character of Cha Ji Hun, who Ji Sung plays, is more like me, like how he’s very playful and mischievous.”

Image

Kim Jaejoong, who has the most off-the-wall charm in JYJ, Choi Kang Hee, who is known to be a fourth-dimensional character, and Ji Sung, the mood maker. It looks like the actors of ‘Protect the Boss’ will never have a chance to be bored.

“Because I just started filming for the drama, I haven’t met my fellow actors and seniors many times, but the atmosphere has been great ever since the script rehearsal. It’s so great that we’re too busy laughing to be bored. Cha Hwa Yeon and Park Young Gyu have been giving me a lot of great advice and I want to work hard on my acting and continue to be loved for it.”‘

To be loved by his fellow actors and the viewers alike, Kim Jaejoong has been working hard to improve and grow as an actor. He is even receiving guidance on his acting from Ahn Nae Sang, who he was introduced to by the director of ‘Protect the Boss’.

Ahn Nae Sang, who played the role of Park Yoochun’s teacher in KBS2′s ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’, has been receiving an interested reaction from fans such as, ‘Park Yoochun’s on-screen mentor has become Kim Jaejoong’s actual mentor.’ Hearing this, Kim Jaejoong laughed and said, “Yoochun’s mentor is my mentor? I guess you could see it that way.”

He added in a joking sigh as he said, “He tells me lots of stories about Yoochun as he helps me with my acting. He praised Yoochun a lot as he told me, ‘At first, Yoochun struggled with the historical speech but later on, he was really good at it’. Though I’m really proud of him, it adds a little more pressure on me and makes it harder for me.“

JYJ’s Park Yoochun is currently acting in MBC’s ‘Miss Ripley’ and made his mark in the drama industry when he won awards at the KBS Drama Awards and Baeksang Arts Awards for his role in ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’. Kim Junsu has been thriving in the musical industry, having won awards at the Musical Awards through ‘Tears of Heaven’ and ‘Mozart!’.

Kim Jaejoong properly began his acting career later than his other members and didn’t hide the slight pressure from that fact as he said, “I’m envious. They say that even being spanked first is better, right?”

“In Yoochun’s case, he had to juggle the World Tour with his drama schedule, leading to him having a hard time trying to complete his overflowing schedule. So when I told him that I would start filming for my drama, he joked around and said, ‘Hyung, you’ll go through the same thing as I did. You need to suffer like I did just once.’ Haha. Junsu would send me texts of encouragement like ‘Be strong!’ as well as funny jokes that are floating around online. The members are a great strength to me and make me feel reassured.”

“As an actor, I see myself as a newborn baby who has just begun. I’ll do my best and work hard, so please support me and remind me to work hard.”

Kim Jaejoong Appears In His First Drama.. How Did He Start It Off?

Image

JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong(25) went hiking for his first domestic drama.

He traveled to nearby suburbs for a two-day-long bonding trip with the cast of SBS’ new Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Protect the Boss’.

Kim Jaejoong said, “The first time that I arrived on location, it felt so awkward that I couldn’t approach my fellow cast members,” and “At that time, Ji Sung brightened up the atmosphere. Ji Sung hyung is someone who believes that actors have to be close to work well together, so he planned a bonding trip for all of us.”

He also added, “Five of us(Ji Sung, Choi Kang Hee, Wang Ji Hae, Lee Hui Won) went hiking together and shared lots of stories,” and “After we were done with our hiking expedition, I sang for a talent contest we had, and I was so embarrassed.” He continued to reminisce as he laughed and said, “It might be okay for other people to mess up their singing to make it funny or interesting, but I felt like I couldn’t mess up, so I remember doing my best as I sang.”

But he said that he had it better than others. “Wang Ji Hae had to show off her singing skills twice because she sang during the bonding trip and then she had to sing in front of her acting seniors.”

Kim Jaejoong says he is slowly getting used to filming for his drama and said, “I feel relaxed around everyone now,” and “Nowadays, I sometimes exchange texts or phone calls with Choi Kang Hee noona.”

He thanked Ji Sung as he added, “Ji Sung hyun calls me over to rehearse together when we don’t have any filming to do,” and “He’s been giving me a lot of help on my acting.”

Kim Jaejoong will be playing Cha Mu Won, the ‘prince of the financial world’. Though he is cousins with Cha Ji Hun(Ji Sung), he is in an antagonistic relationship with his cousin because of the feud between their parents over running the family business. The drama will begin airing on the 3rd of August.

Kim Jaejoong Doesn’t Forget His Fan Service… “Yoochun, Make An Appearance In Our Drama”

JYJ’s fans must be extremely happy right now because JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong(25) will be appearing in his first Korean drama.

He will be expanding his playing field by taking on the role of Cha Mu Won, ‘the prince of the financial world’, in SBS TV’s Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Protect the Boss’. His character is in an antagonistic relationship with his cousin Cha Ji Hun(Jisung) because of a family feud that began with their parents over the running of the conglomerate.

“Though this is my first Korean drama appearance, I don’t feel any pressure or weight on my shoulders. Shall I say that I feel a sense of nervousness? Of course, I do feel a little pressured about having our drama’s viewer ratings compared to that of ‘City Hunter’ because that drama is doing so well. But my greed to take on my character well is bigger than my greed to succeed.”

Image

As he has showcased his charisma in countless performances, he is broad-minded whether he is acting or singing. But his face filled with worry when he was reminded that Park Yoochun and Kim Junsu have become hits in the drama and musical industries respectively.

He smiled and said, “When I think about the whole situation with only myself in perspective, I don’t feel pressured but when I’m reminded that the other guys have done so well, I suddenly feel a weight on my shoulders,” and “I can’t help but feel pressured when we get compared to each other.”

Kim Jaejoong has gotten his feel for acting through the 2009 movie ‘Postman to Heaven’ and the Fuji TV’s ‘Sunao Ni Narenakute’. Already been praised for his Japanese drama debut, the rumors of his entry into the domestic drama industry have been endless till now.

But because of his world tour schedule, Kim Jaejoong had to reject over ten productions. Therefore, the fact that he has finally decided on a drama has his fans excited and ecstatic. Kim Jaejoong says that the drama’s storyline, content and his character fits him well.

(omitted for repetition)

What kind of advice did the other members give him as fellow actors, not singers? Kim Jaejoong said, “Honestly, I don’t think we’re in the position to give each other advice as actors. All of us are still in the learning process so we just tell each other ‘Work hard,’ or ‘Do your best.’“

Kim Jaejoong is still not confident about himself as an actor. But he says that he doesn’t feel more nervous at venues with a larger crowd. “I don’t feel nervous at concert venues with 50,000~60,000 people. But when that number falls to the thousands or hundreds, my nervousness shoots up. There are about 50 people on location when he film for the drama, and I feel like all 100 eyes are staring at me and me only. I’ll have to be able to overcome that.”

Image

JYJ, whose members originate from TVXQ, are known to be one of the most popular groups domestically and overseas. When we asked him if he will be singing or playing an instrument in the drama for his fans, he said that he doesn’t know yet. But he does have something he’d like from fellow team member Park Yoochun.

“He’s working so hard for the drama ‘Miss Ripley’ right now so I don’t know if this will work out, but I would like it if Yoochun could make a surprise appearance in our drama. He’s a director in his drama, so how about he appears in our drama as a director who comes to make a business deal with our company? Director Song, how about you appear just once?“(laughter)

Kim Jaejoong must still like his members who he’s been sharing a house with since 2004. Recently, he moved into the same apartment as Kim Junsu. He joked and said, “Honestly, I didn’t want to move in because Junsu lives there,” but was actually quite delighted to be moving in as he added, “Yoochun was supposed to move into the apartment after Junsu and he didn’t because of personal reasons. I was luckily able to get a house because someone moved out.“

He had one more service for his fans. He said, “From what I know, we’re planning on releasing an album before the drama is over,” and emphasized that he will not be abandoning his activities as a singer.

But for now, his acting comes first. Kim Jaejoong said, “When singers make acting debuts, some people still see them as singers,” and “I worry that people will still see me as a singer, so I will work hard to mesh well with my fellow actors.”

Choi Kang Hee Noona Says I Am Being 4th Dimensional‏

Image

Kim Jaejoong transformed into actor, occupying the evening drama slot by taking on his first challenge in domestic drama ‘Protect The Boss’, broadcasting after ‘City Hunter’.

- Senior actor Yoochun thinks that being relaxed is more important than advice.

In ‘Protect The Boss’, Kim Jaejoong acted as financial prince, Director Cha Mu Won. He is first cousin-related to Cha Ji Hyun (Ji Sung), but are rivals in power struggle. After Kim Jaejoong was casted, the happiest were still the JYJ members, “Recently when I met Yoochun at the hair salon, we even role-played a scene.”

Coincidentally, Park Yoochun is currenly filming for MBC’s ‘Miss Ripley’ as Director Song Yuhyun, “Aren’t we both directors? Therefore he said to me, ‘Director Cha, I am Director Song. It’s been a while, Director Cha.’ and such. (laughs) He also advised me that things might be tough due to insufficient sleep, therefore have to take good care of my health.”

Managing one’s health is important to actors and recently Kim Jaejoong is infatuated with gong-jin dan (a type of Chinese tonic that is not cheap either) that was famous in ‘Best Love’, “I have been eating the gong-jin dan properly that fans gave to me. As it is not cheap, therefore when I eat it, it feels that I will be very healthy.”

Image

- The gathering was held and the atmosphere was high!

Before the filming begins, the cast were worried about the awkwardness, therefore the production crew of ‘Protect The Boss’ accepted Ji Sung hyung’s suggestion and everyone went on a gathering. “The atmosphere was great! Actors and staffs who went on the gathering exchanged numbers and thus became closer. After that (gathering), we would send messages and I slept with Ji Sung hyung at the gathering in just underwear. Choi Kang Hee Noona also said to me, ‘I’ve always heard about Jaejoong being 4th dimensional, and it is indeed like this after meeting. (laughs)’.”

As the youngest at the filming site, but the atmosphere creator turns out to be Ji Sung. “From the script reading session, Senior Ji Sung have been making the atmosphere a happy one and Senior Cha Hwa Yong and Park Yong Kyu also gave me a lot of advices, this made me very grateful (to them). This drama’s genre was supposed to be romantic and a bit of funny, thus during the script reading, it was filled with laughters.”

- Ideal type? Compared to Seo Na Yoon, I prefer No Eun Sul!

In ‘Protect The Boss’, Kim Jaejoong worked with both Choi Kang Hee (acting as No Eun Sul) and Wang Ji Hye (acting as Seo Na Yoon). Kim Jaejoong was asked who is his ideal type between No Eun Sul and Seo Na Yoon? He replied, “Eun Sul is the type who is free-spirited and reckless, while Na Yoon is an ambitious and slightly picky woman. If I have to choose, Eun Sul would be closer to my ideal type and for girls like Na Yoon who is vey ambitious and possessive, it must be difficult to get along with. But if the two characters were to blend, it will be good.”

When asked about his recent ideal type, Kim Jaejoong replied, “A good first impression that she is a good woman. I was absorbed in that charisma when I watched ‘Ladies of the Palace’ in the past. At that time, Senior Kang Soo Yeon and Jun In Hwa should be my ideal type. I don’t think there are any drastic changes to it even now.”

Image

Actor Ji Sung self-revealed a big-head embarrassment photo and provided light laughters online in this hot weather.

On the 19th, Ji Sung revealed on his Me2day with the words, “Erm… Should I reveal this photo? I hesitated…” He followed on saying, “First of all, this is done by the staff, it’s too hilarious! Thus I courageously posted this up in order to make you all laugh in this hot summer. Hahahaha,” and so this photo is revealed.

Delinquent Boss Ji Sung Vs Model Boss Kim Jaejoong, Who Will Be The Winner Of The Battle Of Two Different Allure?‏

Image

Ji Sung and Kim Jaejoong exhibited their two different extraordinary allure of a boss. Ji Sung and Kim Jaejoong will be portraying as reckless youngest son of a conglomerate Cha Ji Hyun and capable prince of the financial world Cha Mu Won respectively in ‘Protect The Boss’ that is broadcasting on the 3rd of August, displaying the looks of warm-hearted bosses.

Although Cha Ji Hyun (Ji Sung) and Cha Mu Won (Kim Jaejoong) are first cousin-related, they had quite an intriguing mental battle due to power struggle. Cha Ji Hyun developed a slight feeling of inferiority towards his talented cousin Cha Mu Won while Cha Mu Won is quite defensive against Cha Ji Hyun with regards to gaining of management control due to the complicated family history

Therefore the two often exchanged those glances unknowingly to bystanders, quietly undergoing the feud with the exchange of delinquent boss Ji Sung’s ‘delinquent look’ and model boss Kim Jaejoong’s ‘sharp look’. Though Ji Sung and Kim Jaejoong exchanged those fiery looks during filming, they still sat together and talked closely during filming breaks.

The production crew said, “Ji Sung who worked hard in creating a good filming environment and did things sturdily, with polite young man Kim Jaejoong who always walked over with a smile, their good collaboration was unexpected. The opposite allure of both would probably bring about warm-hearted bosses syndrome.”
